Get the Carpool direct to your iPod for FREE!
Now you can use iTunes to listen to the Deep End of the Carpool podcast and subscribe to FREE automatic downloads to your iPod!
Here's how:
Step 1: First make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes: just open your iTunes player on your computer, click "Help", then "Check for iTunes Updates". If it tells you your version is up to date, go to the next step. If you are told you can upgrade to version 4.9, go ahead and follow the instructions fo the free upgrade.
Step 2: Now that you are running iTunes 4.9, go to the iTunes music store and in the column on the left titled "Choose Store". You will see the link that says "Podcasts - NEW". Click that link, then go to the "Search all Podcasts" window, type in Carpool, and hit enter. Then you will see the Deep End of the Carpool page. Click on that funny looking purple microphone icon to download individual programs. Click the subscribe button, and everytime we produce a new show it will be automatically downloaded to your computer and transferred to you iPod next time you connect it. Then you can listen wherever and whenever!

Podcasting from the Deep End of the Carpool
Our first podcast, inspired by Dan Klass' wonderful show, the bitterest pill.
To download the audio file for listening if you use Windows, right click the title, select Save Link As, and save it to a convenient place, like your desktop or your music folder. The file can then be easily transferred to your iPod or any mp3 player for convenient listening anywhere.
We know the audio levels are a bit off, but we are learning the techie stuff and will be up to pro in no time!
